After all these steps are done, where we actually only did the setup for the animation, the scenes have to be "shot". Because animation consists of a sequence of images, these images must now be constructed. For a movie of 10 seconds, 240 images (or frames) are needed, as a movie plays 24 frames a second.Every frame is calculated: in fact the workings of a filmcamera are simulated. Enormous amounts of light rays are being calculated, their interaction with the objects (reflection, transparency, color...).
