Red Dead Redemption (codenamed "Old West Project" in 2005), is the follow-up video game to its predecessor Red Dead Revolver released in May 2004. It is being developed by Rockstar San Diego. It was officially announced on February 4, 2009. It is set to be released in the first half of Take-Two's 2010 fiscal year, which spans November 2009 to April 2010.
