Description: The characters Vamp and Raiden stare each other down.Set in 2014, five years after the "Manhattan Incident" (the events of the Plant chapter from Metal Gear Solid 2), Metal Gear Solid 4 portrays a world where the restriction of military intervention on foreign soil has eased, leading to demands on mercenaries to fight proxy battles for business purposes, fueling the need for private military companies (PMCs), and leading to economic dependancy on the conflicts they create.
